Creative fun

Long autumn evenings are a creativity test for us, parents! When it is cloudy and rainy outside, we spend more time with our children at home. How to fill the afternoons with experiences and unforgettable play?

Together with Magda from the profile “Po prostu Mama — Kreatywna Mama” https://www.instagram.com/poprostumama95/, we present great ideas for creative games with your child, which will not only ensure great fun to all of you, but also develop your child’s senses! Are you ready? Let’s start to play!

A play dough, which can be used to make all you want!

Children love playing with plasticine, play dough or popular “slime”. How about a dough, which does not make you dirty, does not stick to your hands and yet enables to create extraordinary things?
I have a recipe for creative play dough.
What you need:
– 1 cup of potato starch,
– 1/2 cup of dishwashing liquid,
– food dye (optional).

The dough prepared from the above ingredients is highly stretchable and can be used for all sorts of creative plays successfully!
Thanks to such an activity, your child improves their fine motor skills and stimulates imagination.

Homemade hammock

Do you know anybody who does not like lying in a hammock? And the homemade one offers double pleasure. How to prepare it? It is easy as pie!

Take a blanket and hang it on the table, so that the ends are tied over it and the other part hangs below the tabletop. And that is it! Easy, isn’t it?

Children love spending time in a place prepared that way. They love swinging and resting there. They use it as a hiding place for their treasure. Every time they climb and leave the hammock, they practice their gross motor skills and their sense of balance.

When your child swings in the hammock, you have some time for yourself. Priceless, isn’t it?

Finally, I have a creativity train for you! What is it? This is a simple and great game, which will be loved both by younger and older children.

What you need to prepare:

-Dish sponges,
– Hot-melt glue,
– Coloured markers,
– Buttons or other colourful, flat items,
– Knife.

How to create a treasure train?

Cut the sponges slightly with a knife. Put buttons or other small accessories in the cuts. Stick the sponges to the cardboard to make train cars. Next, draw wheels and other parts of your train with coloured markers.

Optionally, we can connect a treasure box to our train. To make it, you can use e.g. an ice-cream tub or a tub, in which you bought some other snacks. Just cut a slot in the cover, just like in a moneybox.

The creative train prepared in this way will not only offer a lot of fun, but will promote your child’s development as well.

Such a play will improve fine motor skills and fingertip grip. It contributes to the colour differentiation skills and satisfies the child’s need to discover. Does your child lack patience a bit? This activity improves attention and patience.

Your autumn evenings are not going to be boring with MoMi tips! Are you ready? Which play do we start from?
